How should we dress for our session?

You can always ask me and I can asist you with styling. Simplicity is always best, so when in doubt keep in mind that “less is more.” Here are a few tips when styling yourself or your family!

Avoid small patterns and stripes - it can sometimes lead to distortion effect called moire.

Avoid logos, as they can be distracting.

Neutral colors such as beige, white, black, tan and grey often photograph the best. They complement your skin tones and don’t conflict with common background elements.

Pops of colours are great! Aim to keep them complimentary and avoid neons.

Keep everyone’s outfits within 4 colours. This will keep it cohesive but still enough room to avoid it being too “matchy-matchy”.

Wear clothing that fits properly. A proper fit that allows you to move and feel comfortable will help you look more confident in your portrait.

Always dress with the full length in mind. Include shoes and socks in your wardrobe consideration. Shoe styles should be simple and not distracting.
